I’ve been vegan for over 20 years, and have lived in New York City for the past 16+ years, so I know vegan NYC inside and out! When I’m not leading tours, I work as a certified personal trainer and nutritionist in New York City. I help busy professionals get in shape, and find easy ways to incorporate more healthy foods into their diets. I’m also a vegan lifestyle coach and educator (certified through Victoria Moran’s Main Street Vegan Academy).
I love sharing delicious vegan food with vegans and omnivores alike! Both my tour participants and my local NYC fitness clients are a mix of vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters who are open to new things. Most of the restaurants in my tours are locally-owned small businesses, where the chefs take great pride in serving guests the highest quality, made-from-scratch foods. While the big restaurants can afford the most lavish ads (which attract the most tourists), I want to show you the hidden gems that most visitors from out of town never see. The lunch places where New Yorkers are regulars. The elegant restaurants with organic ingredients and beautiful artisan desserts. And the allergy-free bakeries that make veganism accessible to everyone.
As a vegan, I’ve traveled across the US, Canada, and Europe, often planning my own detailed list of activities and restaurants. I know firsthand how much time and energy it can take to do all this research. And having had the lifelong adventure of severe food allergies myself, I understand the unique challenges of travelers with food allergies, food sensitivities, and celiac.
I created NYC Vegan Vacations for you. A curated experience of the most unique vegan shops and restaurants in NYC, yet more than just a food tour. I want to show you the New York lifestyle - the theater and museums, subways and parks. Everything that makes my city special.
